Following the succesful Dance programme last year, we have decided to maintain to the status quo ( not the band ! ) Monty Crook has once again designed a program of Dance workshops covering a wide genre of dance styles. There will be several ‘social’ and ‘strict’ dances’ catering for all tastes. In addition to the dance programme this year, is a Clandestine Mazurka to be held on the Saturday evening.
By popular requests, Our Festival will once again conclude with a street Ceilidh on the Sunday afternoon.
Morris and related Dance;
Saturday will see the first of our Morris and related dance sides who will be performing around the town bringing a vibrant blaze of colourful dance and music. In addition to the live music on the five stages, the Sunday boasts a superb program of Dance with an expected 26 sides including Morris, Clog, Appalachian, Rapper and more all under the experienced supervision of Ian Cox. This wonderful spectacle ends with a flourish with a processional Dance through the town.
If you have talents, skills, trades or just want to come and make a worthwhile contribution and help make this exciting festival better, then please do join our team of lively spirited volunteers and helpers. If you can spare just a small bit of time over the festival then we would love to hear from you! bridportfolkfestival.com/volunteers-and-stewarding.html
